Welcome to our new blog!

Welcome to the new blog for Latigo & Lace!  L&L is a gallery/gift shop located in one of the most beautiful places in the world…Augusta, Montana.  Where?  That’s right!  We are located in a tiny town in Montana that lies right along the eastern side of the Rocky Mountain Front.   We boast a population of about 400 – this number may or may not include a few dogs, horses, and possibly some cattle.  The purpose of this blog is to share and celebrate our small town life, community, and corner of the world.

Sawtooth by DC - Resized-Sawtooth by DCHere are a couple of pictures to help you see and begin to understand the beauty of our area.  These pictures were taken by Mr. Dan Cater, who is not only the father of one of my oldest and best friends, but is also my teacher from the sixth grade.  Did I mention we’re a small town?  :)

Great little store. They have something new and wonderful every time I visit! There are many unique items including art work from Montana Artisans! Mia DeLode’s artwork is worth checking in this awesome store!!!

As a part time resident-darn!- of your neck of the woods I am excited that I will have a new connection to your store and our neighborhood when away working. This is most exciting and I thank you for taking the time to blog on!

Latigo and Lace has been one of my favorite stores ever. I was so happy that Ellen took three of my oil paintings to put in the shop.I found a Maynard Dixon book there years ago that I treasure, and in October found the perfect bracelet for my daughter for Christmas.
We have a cabin in in Benchmark and so I’ve been driving through Augusta since 1956, stopping for a burger at the Lazy-B and Latigo is a great addition to the town.
